Today I decided to make cheesy garlic bread. You can find the ingredients list at Girl Versus Dough.
First start by combining sugar, yeast, and warm water into a small bowl. Let it sit for five to ten minutes.
While the yeast is working away, combine flour and salt in a stand mixer. Then, add yeast mixture. If “knead” be, you can add more flour until it is no longer sticky. NOW… combine butter ,parsley, and garlic in a bowl. Any leftovers are great on pork chops.
Spread it onto your two rectangular shaped doughs and add cheese. The original recipe says to use cheddar jack but Publix has no such thing, so I went with some sharp cheddar and pepper jack.
Roll the dough into a log, then cut into the log almost all the way. Form it into a ring and place the ring in a 8” backing tin.
Bake at 400 for 20- 25 minutes.
It’s very tasty. My dad said it’s dangerous because he couldn’t stop eating it!
