Galaxy Bark

Galaxy Bark

Today I made Galaxy Bark. Just in time for the eclipse tomorrow. This recipe is out of this world!

Galaxy BarkAll you will need is

  • 3/4 cups each of blue and purple candy melts (yes that is purple)
  • 1 – 10 ounce bag of black melts
  • Edible silver glitter (I used purple)  It’s made by Wilton
  • Edible stars – they are also made by Wilton

First start by melting all your chocolate separately. I know the black looks brown but it gets blacker as it cools. If your black chocolate melts aren’t actually chocolate (because it’s actually white chocolate which contains no actual coco) and you want it to taste better, you can add some milk chocolate candy melts. It shouldn’t alter the color to much.

Galaxy Bark

Spread the black chocolate onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.  Next splatter the blue and purple chocolate on the layer of black.

Then…….Galaxy-fi it. Swirl the colors around with a butter knife. The purple does look like a pink but like the black it will darken.

Add the stars. Lots of stars.

Next chill it for 15-20 minutes in the refridgerator and mix the edible glitter with equal rates of vanilla extract.

Brush the edible glitter on.

Let it chill again for 5 minutes and……

….BREAK it into smaller pieces!!!

And there is a delicious event appropriate, galaxy bark!
