Today I made Garlic Butter Italian Sausage sandwiches. I got the recipe from Little Kitchen Big World. You can go there for the full ingredients list.
First start by softening butter and mixing it in with parsley, chopped basil and garlic.
Then spread the butter on sandwich buns.
Put the sandwich buns in the oven until the butter is melted.
While it is melting get together the tomato sauce, sausage and red wine. I didn’t have red wine so I used sherry. Brown the sausage, then add the tomato sauce and sherry. Let it simmer for 15 minutes.
Then add cheese and sausage mixture to the toasted buns.
Then of course add more cheese on top!
Broil the sandwiches until the cheese is brown and garnish with red onion and parsley.
